Literature Text

You bled me dry that night,
left me laid on a funeral bed,
wreathed in the flowers of suffering,
let me taste your love again.

You brought me back from the edge,
freed me from myself, you saved me,
from all the bitter hurts of life.
You kissed me with a mouthful of death.

You dragged me down,
oh but how you rose me up
I was in ecstacy,
riding the waves of a sea of blood.

I tasted the raw water of sensation,
I let you show me the world,
I gave you my life,
after you took it.

I lie in a dread embrace,
craving your touch,
yet knowing you're not there,
wanting what I shouldn't have

I seek you through the night,
my forbidden fruit, my Eden.
Free me from the fetters you gave,
let me taste oblivion in your veins.
When love is a vampire, giving and taking away
